Cordless Electric Pruning Shears — 21V, Cuts 25mm Branches With Tungsten Steel Blades
Two Hundred Cuts Before Your Hand Gives Out — Not Thirty
Hand secateurs are fine for a dozen stems. Prune a whole orchard row, a mature wisteria or a season's worth of vine growth and the limiting factor stops being the plant and starts being your grip. By the last hour you're making worse cuts because you physically can't squeeze as hard.
These do the squeezing. Tap the trigger, the tungsten steel blade closes through a 25 mm branch, and it opens again. Your hand just holds and aims.
Why It Changes A Long Session
- No grip fatigue. A trigger tap replaces a full-hand squeeze. If you have arthritis, a weak grip or RSI, this is the difference between pruning and not pruning.
- Every cut is the same. The last cut of the day closes with exactly the force of the first — so you don't get ragged, crushed wounds when you're tired.
- Clean cuts heal. A sharp bypass action slices rather than crushes, which is what stops dieback and disease entering the wound.
- Tungsten steel blades. Hold an edge far longer than stainless through sappy, gritty and woody material.
What It Cuts

Safety — Please Read
Powered blades close fast and will not stop for a finger. Keep your free hand behind the blade at all times, never reach through the cutting path to steady a branch, engage the safety lock whenever you're not actively cutting, and remove the battery before cleaning, sharpening or clearing a jam. Store locked and out of reach of children.
Common Questions
Which package should I buy?
With Battery, unless you already own a compatible 21 V pack. The Shears Only option is genuinely just the tool — it will not work out of the box on its own.
Will it cut 25 mm every time?
25 mm is the rated maximum in green wood. Dry, dense or knotty hardwood at that diameter will be slower and harder on the blade — drop to 15–20 mm for seasoned wood.
How many cuts per charge?
It varies with branch size and wood density. Light deadheading gives many hundreds; continuous 25 mm cutting drains it considerably faster. A spare battery is worth having for full-day work.
Can the blades be sharpened or replaced?
Yes. Tungsten steel holds an edge well but any blade dulls. Keep it clean of sap and honed, and cutting stays effortless.
Is it suitable for someone with arthritis?
That's one of the main reasons people buy electric shears — the cutting force comes from the motor, not your hand. You still need enough grip to hold and aim the tool safely.
