The blade that came with your brush cutter is soft enough to be cheap. One meeting with a fence post or a buried stone and it's out of true — and a blade that's out of true shakes the machine, wrecks the bearings and cuts badly for the rest of its life.

This one is forged from high-hardness alloy steel. It resists the bend, holds the edge longer, and when one side finally dulls you turn it over and carry on.

What's Different About It

• High-hardness alloy steel. Harder through the section than a standard stamped blade, so it resists bending and takes considerably longer to go blunt.
• Both edges sharpened. Mount it either way round. When the first edge dulls, flip it — one blade, two working lives.
• Balanced to ≤0.1g. Sounds like a small number and isn't. Imbalance is what puts vibration through the shaft into your hands and into the gearbox. A balanced blade runs smoother, spins faster and tires you less.
• Cuts faster, so it draws less. A sharp, balanced blade spends less time loaded up in thick growth, which means less fuel on a petrol machine and more runtime on a battery one.
• Universal mounting. Fits most standard brush cutters and grass trimmers. The 6 and 9-piece accessory options add the washers, adapters and nuts for less common shafts.

• Only fit a metal blade to a machine the manufacturer rates for one, with the correct guard and, where specified, a harness.
• Full face shield, ear defenders, gloves, long trousers and sturdy boots. Keep others at least 15 metres away.
• Expect blade thrust. A spinning blade that catches something solid kicks sideways, hard — both hands on the machine at all times.
• Check the blade for cracks and true running before every use, and after any hard strike. A cracked blade at full speed is the worst failure mode there is.
• Torque the retaining nut properly. A loose blade is more dangerous than a blunt one.

Common Questions

Will it fit my machine?
It suits the standard brush cutter mounting, and the accessory options cover most of the variations in bore size and shaft fittings. If your trimmer only ever shipped with a line head, it likely isn't rated for a metal blade at all — check the manual first.

Does it really last three times as long?
That's the manufacturer's claim against a standard blade, and the hardness and reversible edges make it plausible. Real life depends entirely on what you hit. One encounter with a concrete kerb ends any blade's run.

Can I sharpen it?
Yes, with a file along the existing bevel. Take an equal amount off each edge — uneven sharpening destroys the balance, which is the main thing you paid for.

How do I know when to flip it?
When it starts tearing rather than cutting, and you find yourself pushing the machine into the growth. Undo the nut, turn the blade over, retorque.

What are the accessories for?
Adapters, washers and nuts for shafts that don't take the blade directly. If your existing blade came off cleanly and the fittings are in good order, the blade-only option is all you need.
