Portable Folding Garden Stool — Aluminium Frame, Packs Down To 26 × 10 cm
A Seat You'll Actually Carry With You
Everyone has a garden chair. Nobody carries one down to the far bed, because it's awkward and it means a second trip. So the potting, the deadheading and the weeding all get done crouched, and the last hour of the afternoon is the one your back remembers.
This one folds to 26 × 10 cm — small enough to go in a bag or hang off a belt loop. It's with you because carrying it costs nothing.
Why It Gets Used
- Packs to almost nothing. Collapses into its own storage bag. No reason to leave it behind.
- Aluminium alloy frame. Light in the hand but rated to hold 90–150 kg, so it's a real seat rather than a token one.
- Sits at working height. At 26 cm it puts you at the level of beds, pots and low crops without the drop-and-climb of sitting on the ground.
- Oxford cloth seat. Tough, quick-drying and it doesn't hold water the way padded fabric does.
Not Only For The Garden
The same stool goes in a rucksack for camping, fishing, hiking stops, picnics, festivals, sports touchlines and queues. It weighs little enough that it's worth packing on the off-chance.
Where It Works
- Weeding, planting and harvesting at bed height
- Potting up in the greenhouse
- Allotments and community plots
- Patio, lawn and balcony
- Camping, fishing and days out

Common Questions
Is it stable on grass and soft ground?
On firm lawn and paving, yes. On very soft or freshly dug soil the legs can sink slightly — spread your weight and sit centrally.
How much weight will it take?
Rated 90–150 kg. Sit squarely rather than leaning back on two legs and it holds fine.
How low is it?
26 cm seat height — deliberately low, so you're at the level of the bed you're working on rather than towering over it.
Does it set up quickly?
It opens and locks in a couple of seconds. No assembly, no tools.
Will the fabric rot if it gets wet?
Oxford cloth dries fast and resists mildew, but don't pack it away damp — open it out to dry first.
