How It Works

1. Clear and level the ground where the path is going.
2. Set the mould down and mix your concrete.
3. Fill each cell, tamp it to release air, and screed the top flat.
4. Wait until it's touch-firm, then lift the mould straight up.
5. Reposition, overlapping the pattern, and repeat.

Rinse it with water when you're finished and it's ready for next time. There's no practical limit to how many times you can use it.

How long until I can lift the mould?
Usually 20–40 minutes depending on your mix, the temperature and humidity. Lift a corner to test — if the edges hold their shape, lift the whole thing straight up.

What mix should I use?
A standard concrete mix works. A slightly stiffer mix holds its edges better when you lift the mould; too wet and the cells slump.

How many times can I reuse it?
Many times over. Rinse it before the concrete cures on it and it stays serviceable indefinitely.

Can I colour the stones?
Yes — add concrete pigment to the mix, or apply a surface stain once cured.

Do I need a base underneath?
For a path that will take real traffic, level the ground and lay a compacted sand or hardcore base first. Straight onto soft soil, it will settle unevenly.
